Alexa earned her degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2022, where she developed a strong foundation in solving complex environmental challenges and a passion for protecting Earth’s bounty. She began her career in geotechnical engineering before joining Collective Water Resources in 2023.

Motivated to build a career centered on conserving and appreciating our natural resources, Alexa was drawn to Collective’s holistic approach to managing water resources and climate change impacts. Her work includes hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain management investigations, stormwater planning, watershed management, and a variety of resilience, vulnerability, climate change, and sea level rise assessments.

Alexa is a qualified stormwater inspector and serves on the Membership Committee of the Florida Stormwater Association. Through her work, she applies practical, thoughtful approaches to complex water resource challenges, contributing to projects that help communities better understand and prepare for a changing environment.

Outside work, Alexa enjoys spending time with her rescued cat and dog duo, Mako and Captin, cooking and exploring different culinary traditions, and discovering the natural beauty of Florida through its trails, lakes, and natural preserves. She is also fascinated by indigenous cultures and practices, particularly their traditions and connections to the natural world.
